The Usurpation Soldier Major is a common alien enemy in Plazma Burst 2, and forms the backbone of the Usurpation Forces. Unlike their weaker counterparts, these enemies wear tougher armor and are outfitted with better weapons and equipment in the later levels. Their arsenal greatly expands in the later levels, from carrying Alien Rifles to carrying Lite Railguns and Plasmaguns.
Gradually these soldiers along with the Advanced Usurpation Soldiers were out-classed by the Usurpation Destroyer, because of the fact that they have become outdated, and the fact that the health of these soldiers is far less than the higher class of Usurpers. They are rarely seen alone, as they prefer to attack with hordes of soldiers at once. These are higher ranking than their Minor cousins, but are outclassed by the better, Advanced Usurpation Soldier.
Weapons variety[]
Alien Rifle[]
Probably the most common Usurpation soldier that you face is the Usurpation Major with an Alien Rifle. They are deadly in large groups. These soldiers form the bulk of the invasion force and therefore have seen combat and are not afraid of charging the Marine with their deadly accurate Alien Rifle.
Lite Railgun v01 CS-HShot[]
Another common weapon that the Usurpation Major uses is the Lite Railgun. The Railgun itself can be deadly, but when there are multiple Usurpation Majors all wielding railguns, they can be rather lethal.
Rocket Launcher CS-LitBro[]
Usurpations carrying a Rocket Launcher usually have an Alien Rifle as well. The rockets can be fairly easy to dodge, except when there are more than one and the Usurpation Major is usually not alone.
Grenade Launcher CS-SpamThemBaby[]
These units are not common, but are seen guarding choke points, where they can shoot grenades down at you.
Plasmagun CS-Bloom[]
Usurpation Majors using the Plasmagun are not as common as the others but just as, or even more deadly than them. They usually carry other weapons with them.
Heavy Railgun v04 CS-OneSOneK[]
This weapon is very rarely seen being used by Majors, but it is used in a couple of levels. Players should be careful around these, since the weapon itself is very easy at killing the player in one shot.
CS-BNG[]
Soldiers useing these weapons are rare, mostly seen on levels 31 and 38. They are very deadly soldiers.
Tips[]
Not really a incredibly tough foe alone but if groups they can be rather tough. The best option is to shoot from cover, although keep in mind that they will charge when you least expect it. Using weapons such as the Rocket Launcher CS-LitBro are great for taking out groups of them at once.
Trivia[]
- Their rank within the Usurpation Forces is most likely Sergeants and Sergeants Major. Seeing how they are the brunt of the Usurpation's Ground Forces, they act as "fireteam leaders" of small groups of soldiers, anywhere between 4 to 6.
- As of Version 1.32, they have been renamed to "Usurpation Soldier Major", instead of simply "Usurpation Soldier".
- Major Usurpation Soldiers encountered in the campaign have 200 hitpoints on Easy and Normal, 250 on Hard, and 130 on Impossible.
- There is a Major Usurpation Soldier armed with a Grenade Launcher CS-SpamThemBaby driving a Hound Walker-CS on Level 38. It was stolen from the Civil Security by the Usurpation Forces to use for themselves.
